haven't received any notifications of systems outages on the (gs) Grid-Service today. While interruptions are uncommon, they can happen. Usually, when they do, we notify our customers on the System Status page of our homepage: http://weblog.mediatemple.net/weblog/category/system-incidents/.

There are many third-party site monitor services and their process for checking a site is suspect. Unfortunately, we cannot verify the procedures nor the validity of the reports from third-party website monitors. Please note, these notifications are stating that the site returned a timeout error when their service checked it. They still ask that you visually verify that the site is up or down. If you check and your site is online, despite the notification of your site being offline, it's very likely that your site was never down and that the monitor was malfunctioning.
