Lync IM a user viewing their profile

Is there a way to utilize Lync within SharePoint user profiles. Specifically, I would like to be able to IM each user through Lync by simply clicking on a link in their individual profile? Something similar to the "Send an instant message to" button on a person's contact card that appears when you hover over their presence photo?

  1. You should be able to do it by adding a "sip:[email protected]" link where you want the button/link to appear?
